La reacci\u00f3n lum\u00ednica act\u00faa en presencia de luz con independencia de la temperatura reinante (siempre que \u00e9sta no sobrepase determinados l\u00edmites).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, la reacci\u00f3n en la oscuridad tiene lugar con independencia de la luz pero no de la temperatura, aunque \u00e9sta \u00faltima debe mantenerse igualmente dentro de unos l\u00edmites para que sea efectiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img title=\" \"decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/cienc_fotosintesis2.jpg\" alt=\" \"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img title=\" \"alt=\" \"loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/cienc_fotosintesis_noche.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"173\"><br>La fotos\u00edntesis se realiza en dos etapas: reacci\u00f3n luminosa y reacci\u00f3n en la oscuridad. Ambas permiten que la transformaci\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda sea permanente<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se inicia la fotos\u00edntesis con la absorci\u00f3n de fotones (energ\u00eda luminosa) a nivel de los pigmentos activos. \u00c9stos trasladan a las clorofilas la energ\u00eda que se suma a la absorbida por las mismas. Aqu\u00ed la clorofila realiza su labor m\u00e1s importante y esencial en todo el proceso, capturando la energ\u00eda de las diferentes longitudes de onda, principalmente del espectro rojo y violeta que corresponden a las clorofilas de tipo A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas reacciones ocurren en los cloroplastos que se encuentran dentro de las c\u00e9lulas, y donde est\u00e1n contenidas las citadas clorofilas y otra serie de compuestos, todos ellos parte activa en la funci\u00f3n clorof\u00edlica en mayor o menor medida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La reacci\u00f3n en la oscuridad, por su parte, permite que la energ\u00eda capturada en presencia de luz, y por tanto temporal, siga captur\u00e1ndose permanentemente en forma de glucosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En resumen, el balance total o efecto neto de la fotos\u00edntesis queda establecido como glucosa, a trav\u00e9s de un gasto energ\u00e9tico de luz solar, es decir, el di\u00f3xido de carbono m\u00e1s agua proporciona ox\u00edgeno y glucosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La producci\u00f3n fotosint\u00e9tica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Se estima que pr\u00e1cticamente todo el ox\u00edgeno de la atm\u00f3sfera se ha generado a trav\u00e9s del proceso de la fotos\u00edntesis. Obviamente, todos los organismos que respiran (incluyendo plantas) utilizan este ox\u00edgeno y producen CO2. Por lo tanto, la fotos\u00edntesis y la respiraci\u00f3n est\u00e1n vinculados entre s\u00ed con cada proceso en funci\u00f3n de los productos de uno u otro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La producci\u00f3n global de la fotos\u00edntesis es del orden de un bill\u00f3n (con \u00abb\u00bb) de Kg. de materia org\u00e1nica seca producida por d\u00eda, y los procesos respiratorios convierten aproximadamente la misma cantidad de materia org\u00e1nica en CO2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una gran parte de la producci\u00f3n fotosint\u00e9tica se realiza en los oc\u00e9anos abiertos, sobre todo por los procariotas oxig\u00e9nicos (organismos fotosint\u00e9ticos que procesan el ox\u00edgeno), ejemplo del alga espirulina y otras cianobacterias que poseen clorofila.
