Representan las part\u00edculas minerales el 50% del total, de las cuales dominan la arena, arcilla y caliza, y en menor medida \u00f3xidos e hidr\u00f3xidos de hierro y sales; las de origen org\u00e1nico suponen el 5%; el 45% que resta lo ocupan aire y agua, los cuales aprovechan la porosidad de la arena (el componente m\u00e1s importante de los suelos) para penetrar en los suelos y permitir la iteraci\u00f3n con los dem\u00e1s elementos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Arena<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La arena, cuya importancia ya se ha dicho, procede de la roca por&nbsp;<em>meteorizaci\u00f3n<\/em>&nbsp;(efectos externos que alteran las rocas superficiales); la sil\u00edcica es la m\u00e1s t\u00edpica, por ello se suele expresar el contenido de arena de los suelos en tanto por ciento de s\u00edlice (SiO2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img title=\" \"decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/cienc_arena.jpg\" alt=\" \"><br>La arena procede de la meteorizaci\u00f3n de la roca madre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Arcillas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Las arcillas proceden de silicatos descompuestos de la roca madre. Son principalmente una mezcla de silicatos de aluminio hidratados, los cuales pueden incorporar adem\u00e1s hierro, magnesio y potasio. La m\u00e1s t\u00edpica es la caolinita (s\u00edlice, al\u00famina y agua).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img title=\" \"decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/cienc_arcilla.jpg\" alt=\" \"><br>Las arcillas proceden de silicatos descompuestos de la roca madre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La presencia dominante de los silicatos de aluminio es la raz\u00f3n de que el contenido en arcilla de los suelos, sea expresada en tantos por ciento de \u00f3xido alum\u00ednico o al\u00famina (A12O3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caliza<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La caliza o carbonato c\u00e1lcico (CaCO3), suele presentarse en forma de arenas, limos o unidas a las arcillas margosas. Tienen la capacidad de disolverse en el agua, las cuales arrastran en forma de bicarbonato c\u00e1lcico; a su vez, los \u00e1cidos n\u00edtrico y fosf\u00f3rico originan nitratos y fosfatos c\u00e1lcicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img title=\" \"decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/tierras_calizas.jpg\" alt=\" \"><br>Tierras calizas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todos estos elementos pueden ser absorbidos por las plantas, aunque un exceso de cal s\u00f3lo es soportado por las plantas calc\u00edcolas. Otra presencia en el suelo \u00fatil para las plantas es la dolom\u00eda (CaMg(CO3)2), carbonato doble de calcio y magnesio, que sintetiza la clorofila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00d3xidos de hierro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img title=\" \"decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureduca.com\/images_cienc\/oxidos_hierro.jpg\" alt=\" \"><br>\u00d3xidos de hierro<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los \u00f3xidos e hidr\u00f3xidos de hierro (oligisto y limonita) se producen como resultado de la meteorizaci\u00f3n de la mica negra (biotita) y otros silicatos (anfiboles y piroxenos).
